How to Get your Web Site Ranked High in the Search Engines

jvholdings - July 22, 2008
href="http://www.jvholdingsllc.com"}Search engine optimization/a> has evolved quite a bit over the years. During its’ infancy, SEO providers could easily manipulate web sites to get them ranked high in the search engines. However, revised search engine algorithms no longer reward keyword stuffing, hidden text, sub-domains, redirects, and other black-hat practices. As a result, it has placed a premium on the following white-hat techniques to naturally climb up the search engine rankings.

• Meta-tag Analysis " Adding titles and descriptions with keywords optimized in them to your meta-tags is a great technique to control how your listing appears in the search engines • Image Analysis " Adding alt tags with keywords optimized in your images is also another coding technique that can improve your search engine rankings • Submission of an XML Site Map " Adding a site map and submitting to Google webmaster tools is a great technique to ensure all of your pages are indexed • Back-linking " Adding one-way links through writing an article related to the content of your site with keywords anchored and manually submitting to directories with page ranks two or higher is great technique to improve your search engine presence as back-links are weighted much more heavily in their algorithms. Another back-linking strategy that works well is publishing comments with keywords anchored in relevant blogs that contain “follow” tags.

In closing, to achieve a high search engine ranking requires patience and a disciplined approach. If you are consistent with the keywords you optimize across the various SEO techniques above you should see a steady improvement in your search engine rankings and begin to experience the benefits that come from an increase in traffic to your site.
