How To Get A Landing Page Highly Ranked

Karl Sultana - November 23, 2008
Some folks think that only content sites get high ranked - but you can get your affiliate link highly ranked. A page that you cannot edit at all.

Why it get ranks? You get backlinks!

Even though for certain very high competitive keywords you need content - therefore the affiliate link will be difficult to rank for high competitive keywords - but it still can rank for other keywords.

Someone who can add content has an advantage - but your goal if you have a landing page - is to add more pages - you can still add content by starting a blog, creating an articles page full of articles...

Then link to these pages from the bottom menu of your landing page, so spiders crawl them. Put a sitemap on your website and put a link to them.

So a landing page the only difference is that you don't have too many content on the page.

You can still add content on your website.

So landing page, one page salesletter or even an affiliate link can still get high rankings. The landing page or one page salesletter even for high competitive keywords. The affiliate link though your best bet will be on low competitive keywords.

An affiliate link you cannot even add content by creating a blog - that's why sometimes if you are an affilaite it's better to create your own website and sell from your own site...

Rarely do you find affiliates trying to get highly ranked their affiliate link. I am not in any way an affiliate marketing expert, but for search engine optimization purposes your best bet is to sell as an affiliate from your own website or blog.

Things like keyword density, h1 tags, keyword prominence or the one I hate most, seo copywriting should be things you avoid. With seo copywriting you'll have tons of keywords but you have a website that does not convert traffic into prospects, customers or leads...

No need to waste time on these things, which like keyword density no longer effect your rankings. Focus on quality content, copy that coverts traffic into sales. Have a jam packed content rich website as much as possible - plus stay on topic. If you sell dog food, first and foremost have a dog food "authority" site.

Only then you may expand to other subniches and talk about them, like pets maybe...

But stay relevant to your main topic. Doing so when you write content you automatically write it "perfect" instead of "robot written" with tons of keywords and so forth.

It is a much better approach. So things to avoid are seo copywriting, keyword density and keyword prominence which is like keyword density more or less.
