Article Marketing - A Case Study

Thomas Sinfield - September 21, 2007
I have been reading a lot about article marketing for websites, as a good way to generate back links and traffic, and decided to look into it more.

I have been looking at setting up a bit of a blog network, in the health care industry - mainly skin care and acne, and decided to write an article for one of my blogs about vitamin b5 and acne.

Here is how I went about it:

Decided on a topic. (I just chose something that I had been reading about - cause that means others would be reading about it also)

1. Researched the topic - this involved searching the internet for articles and websites on the topic.

2. Write the article - Use the information from a bunch of those sources to write the article, if copying parts be sure to use your own words.

3. Submit to article directories - I dont see the point in submitting to 100's of article websites, I just chose 3 of 4 of the most popular- as I don't want to get hit for duplicate content.

I just got confirmation from EzineArticles.com that my article had been published, and would make it on the main page for part of today, hopefully should get some traffic from it, and a few links from people wanting to use my article.

I am going to be using this method of marketing a lot more, even for my website design and search engine optimisation businesses - especially for the back links, and SEO purposes. About the author
